Challenge 8: Reduce Inequality / Peace,
Justice and Strong Institutions
Preamble:
Social inequality is a problem that affects the socioeconomic well-being of a country and its inhabitants and is closely related to social injustices. In Puerto Rico, an example of this is the problem of neglect of our elderly, a situation that causes a high level of anxiety among this population.
The challenge:
Creation of a virtual and digital program to facilitate the accompaniment of the elderly in a community. They must apply it with the target population.
targets:
General rules
Register in the challenge individually or in a group of maximum three participants.
Identify in a table, the profile of the population they want to impact with the program, reasons for impacting that population, the objectives they want to achieve and strategies to develop.
Design the virtual or digital program for the accompaniment of the elderly. They must incorporate at least three (3) elders for the program.
Describe in a short, concise, precise and clear document.
Present a sheet with the general information of the three participating elders and their consent to participate.
The design of the program should be reviewed by a professional in the social or mental health area.
Implement the program and document the results. At the time of submitting the results, they must evidence their implementation for a minimum of ten (10) days.
Deliverables and Measures of Success
Table of the profile of the participants, as required in point 2 of the general rules.
Accompaniment program details. As requested in point 4 of the general rules.
Evidence from the professionals who were involved in the process.
Evidence of the platform or digital system used.
Evidence of program implementation. This includes: Photos, videos or other elements that demonstrate the process of creation and implementation.
It will be evaluated according to the rubrics of experts on the subject. The value that it generates or can generate in the target population will be measured.
They must be delivered on or before April 20, 2021.
